Q: Is smoking
permitted?
A: Our vehicles are strictly 'no smoking' for the comfort of our passengers.
We also ask that food and drink is not consumed in the vehicles
Q: What fare
structure do you operate?
A: Our vehicles are fitted with taxi meters calibrated to Winchester
District Council's current rates. On occasions we will agree a price
in advance of the journey, but this will never exceed the fare shown
on the meter
Q: Are there
surcharges for public holidays or unsociable hours?
A: In line with other operators, we do make higher charges at certain
times of the day as well as on public holidays. These are clearly
shown on the tariff table displayed in each vehicle, and the driver
will be happy to advise where this is the case. Once again, we only
apply the local council's agreed fare structure and never exceed this
Q: Can I book
a car for a long journey?
A: Our speciality is relaxing longer journeys (such as airport or ferry
transfers) or local tours. Prices for these journeys will normally
be at a reduced rate per mile, so please call for a quote
Q: What payment
methods do you accept?
A: We accept cash or cheque (where this is supported with a Bank card).
We also accept all major credit and debit cards, we regret a 3% surcharge
payable for credit cards.
Please do not ask us for credit terms as this will always be refused
Q: Do you work
24 / 7, 365 days of the year?
A: Steve's 8 Seater is usually available whenever you and your group
wish to travel please call us with your specific requirements and
we will try to accommodate you where we can
Q: I am travelling
to the area by train or plane. Can I book Steve's 8 Seater to meet
me and take me on to my destination?
A: Not a problem, but please give us as much notice as you can (and
if possible call ahead if you know that you are likely to be delayed)
